Young Professionals Network (YPN)

YPN Milwaukee (Young Professionals Network) is looking for your gently used or new children’s books for our “Reading With REALTORS®” community service project. Donation boxes will be coming to a brokerage office near you in the month of September.

Books collected will be delivered to Head Start facilities throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. YPN’s goal is to collect enough books for every child in Head Start to receive a book to take home and one for their classroom.

After the books are collected we will be reading to the kids October 18–23. We are actively looking for volunteers to help us read to the kids and distribute books. Please email YPNMilwaukee@gmar.ws to volunteer.

You may also drop off your books in the main lobby of the GMAR offices. If you do not have books to donate, monetary donations will be accepted at the GMAR office and used for the purchase of books. Book collection will run though October 13th.

Our social event in August was the introduction to our “Reading With REALTORS®” project and Ben Mullikin of Keller Williams won an Apple iPad with the contribution of over 200 children’s books. Thanks go out to everyone that donated books at our event and especially Scott Klass of Shorewest Realtors who donated 330 books.
